Surgical Dermatology

Dermatologists are specially trained in the removal of lesions on the skin. At Helou Clinic we remove a variety of benign and cancerous lesions. The method of removal will depend on the type of lesion, and sometimes it may be necessary to perform a skin biopsy first in order to obtain a definitive diagnosis. The biopsies and small surgeries are done in our surgical section of the clinic under local anesthesia.

Surgical techniques performed in the office include punch biopsies, excision surgery, electro surgery and cryotherapy.
